Next on our bucket list was one last trip to Tahoe. The kids were begging to see snow, and it delivered. So much so that we had to break out the old tire chains. We rented a small rustic cabin and got some sledding in. We were horribly prepared. The kids only had rain boots and rain pants so we didn’t last too long outside, but they did discover their love for hot chocolate. According to Asher, the highlight of the trip was having doughnuts for breakfast. It took us over 9 hours to make it home (which is why I hate going to Tahoe in the first place), but seeing their joy in the snow was worth it.
