We had an epic time in Patagonia, but our Chilean adventures weren’t over. From Patagonia, we flew to Puerto Varas in the Lake region. Our Besties, Mark , Kyla and Sunny have been living in Chile for the past year and were able to meet us. We rented an amazing house right on the water so we were able to enjoy kayaking and BBQing with a view.
We spent the week taking hikes to breath taking waterfalls. PJC and Papi loves to dip in the freezing cold showers. We also explored nature parks, played soccer on the beach,and nearby German influenced towns. We also just spent a lot of time enjoying each other’s playing Sleeping Queens and chess. The best night was after the kids went to bed and the adults got crazy by doing face masks. I’ve never laughed so hard. It is so funny how the simplest things with our best friends can turn into the best memories.
This area of Chile is incredible. It is like Lake Tahoe on steroids- crystal blue waters and snow-capped volcanos dotting the horizon. And the food- the produce was amazing. Fruit tasted like actual candy. I was ready to pack my bags and buy property. Once I can’t deal with the Panamá heat anymore, you’ll find me on the lake in Chile.
